Abby Sinclair, a lesbian investigative reporter living in The Union, was badly injured in a bombing when she served as a marine. When her FBI father is poisoned in San Francisco, she embarks on a quest to destroy damning evidence that links him to the assassination of the last President of the USA. She’s joined by Issa, her ex girlfriend, and Vida, an off the grid woman Abby can’t resist. They embark on a high stakes road trip that sees them battle Sierra Nevada blizzards, and a terrifying America First border crossing, while a rogue FBI agent is tracking their every move.
The quest leaves Abby holding the fate of the Union in her hands. Being double-crossed threatens to rip it from her grasp.
