I have finished my current Work in Progress, “The Cracked Lens”  and I’m now looking for a agent!:-

In 1969, Midge Boswell, a Central Park alcoholic plans to reveal how her connection with McCarthyism caused her professional and personal downfall as a design icon in the 1950s. She hires Izzie, a cynical young Greenwich Village artist, to ghostwrite her autobiography. Though a generation apart, they are each haunted by the premature death of a sibling and form an unlikely friendship. The two women receive a series of threats as they collaborate on the book. The Cracked Lens juxtaposes the personal experience of the US anti-communist fervor of McCarthyism with the Vietnam War era, through the devastation of one woman’s life and the emergence of purpose in another’s.

The Setting is New York City

In a period when Times Square was surrounded by gritty streets filled with

strip joints,  hustlers, junkies and pimps.

And the subway trains were still covered with graffiti.
